Making Birthday Cupcakes!

My oldest son is turning 5 on Saturday, so he wanted to bring a treat to his preschool to celebrate the big 5. This is the first year he requested chocolate cupcakes. Up until now he was satisfied with my healthy, no sugar, banana-nut muffins (aka cupcakes to him, and loaded with flax). I figured he'd catch on sooner or later!
So here he is, my little baker, busy at work! (And yes, that is a chef's hat!) :)

Sugar + almost 5 year old= I AM SCARED!

Yay! A new card display!

Before... And after...

I have been "living out of boxes" in terms of cards for the past couple of years. The boxes are cute and decorative, and transport well to stores for restocking, but I needed something convenient for my cards at home and also for events. At the past events that I would sell my goods at, I used various decorative containers for my cards. It was kind of a hassle in terms of displaying my work, if you can even call putting cards into a box "displaying"! Don't ask me what took so long, but I finally have a real, spinning card display! So exciting!

Home Grown Goods In The Works...

If there is one thing I need, its more time in the day to get everything done. (That, and more hands would help!)
Currently, I have a list of new products I am in the process of making:
~Snuggley Aloha Blankets
~Children's Art-To-Go Rolls
~Canvas Eco-Friendly Tote Bags (for happy Earth shopping)
~Hand-made Aloha (Hawaiian/Surf Print) Tote Bags
I REALLY hope to get one item finished here soon! Wish me luck!
Other cool stuff:
~I ordered ribbon that says "Wildflower Studio~Home Grown Goods" to wrap my blankets and other hand-made goods in, so cute! Can't wait for it to arrive!
~I am experimenting with woven and iron-on labels for my hand-made goods. Its an interesting process...
~I am in the process of having my cards be made solely on recycled paper! Yay!!!
Until next time, may the force be with you- I know I need it!

THANK YOU SUPPORTERS!!!!

I just wanted to stop and say thanks to all of the people out there who think of me for cards, gifts, photography or even executing their creative ideas. I am so honored and also so extremely grateful! I know its hard to remember to think of the small businesses sometimes when you have to go buy a card or a gift, when Target is fresh in your mind, believe me, I know.
But I actually have these wonderful people who remember me as they are out going to purchase corporate made greeting cards, or gifts (baby shower gifts-onesies, or children's gifts-t-shirts) and then they call me spur of the moment! That happened 3 times this week and I am so honored and grateful.
To all of the people who have supported me in this endeavor, emotionally and by thinking of me for that next gift, A big THANK YOU!!!!!!! I could not do it with out you! I hope to make a lasting impression on more people like that.
I am working on making more and more products for all of you lovely supporters!
Love,
Michelle (Shell)

Valentines Cards

Hammock for Two

Two Hearts as One

All Things Grow With Love
(this one is perfect for kids or friends. Butterflies, bees, ladybugs, snails, caterpillars, and even a pair of tulips all find love in this happy little card.)

Here are some of my card designs perfect for lovers, soul mates, and even one for friends or children to give. Of course these are meant to give all year round filled with your sweet words to your sweetheart.
It's this reason I always wanted to create greeting cards- the idea that I am promoting and am involved in spreading love to others. Maybe it sounds corny, but just the idea that I am participating in letters or notes of friendship, romance, support, and love, makes me feel fulfilled! :)
