Heeeelllllooooo!I am still here!!!!
Just so incredibly busy with work and preparing for our crazy trip!
This is my is one of my lovely sisters!
Isn't she cute???
We are so lucky to have her as our nanny
for part of the time we our off on our adventure
on the other side of the world!
***
I will be honest and say I have been an absolute complete wreck
about leaving my kids.
But I feel really blessed my hubby wants to share this dream
of his with me and not just his guy friends.
*****
Today I was incredibly emotional and feeling more than conflicted about this trip.
I just can't fathom leaving my kids-its like leaving my heart behind.
***
Then my wise 6 year old tells me on the way to school,
"Mom, you need to go on this trip & be with Dad.
You guys love each other sooo much,
and he is your husband- you need to go & be with him.
We'll be just fine.
Besides, if G. gets sad, I'll just play with him,
but he loves me so he won't get sad."
***
This child is so wise and so amazing.
He helped me so much!
Getting permission from your kids to travel is such a gift!
****
We leave very soon!
I'll keep you posted!
PS. my other blog is slowly getting a new look.
Its not finished, but feel free to go check it out here! :)
Thanks for visiting!!

good luck on your trip. I am sure with a very smart 6 year old like that he will be fine.
I often dream about a trip for myself but when it comes to the crunch I don't think I or the kids are ready to be separated for more that a weekend. I know the time will come one day though.
My husband and I took an eight day trip last year without our kids and I can't begin to tell you HOW RELAXING it was!!!!! Enjoy, friend!
i am sorry i have not been visiting here regularly. i am catching up on everything i have missed during my absence. enjoy your trip!
Shoot shoot shoot, you'll probably off by the time I'm sending you this. Were are you going (other end of the world would be my part right...) If you read this and you are in my neck of the woods let me know I'd love to see you.
Other than my nagging...have THE most wonderful time of the world with your dear hubby.
Hugs Dagmar
Such a lovely sister and wise child!
